Bruny Island is an island accessible by ferry from Kettering, 35 minutes drive south of Hobart, southern Tasmania. To get to Kettering from Hobart you take the Southern Outlet to Kingston and then continue driving along the Channel Highway following the signs to Margate, Kettering and Bruny Island.
The ferry runs throughout the day and takes 20 mins to cross the water. The cost is $25 return for a standard vehicle and be sure to arrive at least 30 mins early. If you are catching the ferry to make the Bruny Island Charters 11am eco-cruise departure time, you must catch the 9.30am ferry at the latest and you should aim to be in line to catch the ferry by 9.00am. Alternatively you can catch the earlier ferry at 7.45am. After the cruise you can catch the returning ferry to Kettering at 3.15pm, 4.30pm, 5.30pm and 7pm. Bruny Island Charters office, cafe & jetty is located at Adventure Bay which is 30 mins drive from the ferry arrival point. You just continue along the road from the ferry until you come to a turn off on the left to Adventure Bay, called Adventure Bay Rd. You continue along this road that goes right around Adventure Bay until you come to our Booking office car park on the left hand side.
