About the Trip

Let us take you on a day of adventure - exploring the stunning coastline and waterways of Bruny Island. Our full day tour leaves Hobart at 8am and returns at 5.30pm. Your day with us will most certainly be a day to remember - from experiencing the thrill of travelling at speed, through to meeting some of the wildlife of the Bruny Island coast including seals, dolphins, albatross and so much more.

The day includes:

• Bus transfers from Hobart to Bruny Island
• 3 hour eco-cruise
• Morning tea and lunch
• Return transfers to Hobart

Onboard our 3 hour eco cruise you will:

• Cruise beneath towering crags with spectactular sculptured features that were formed 165 million years ago
• Drift up close and listen to the awesome 'breathing rock'
• Enter deep sea caves
• Pass through the narrow gap between the coast and 'The Monument'
• Feel the power of the nature at the point where the Tasman Sea meets the Southern Ocean
• A wild, remote and pristine coastline

Our highly trained interpretive guides love what they do - they'll make your experience fun, enjoyable, entertaining and informative.

 

Itinerary

8.00 am	Meet our bus at the Hobart & Tasmania's South Visitor Information Centre, corner of Elizabeth and Davey Street - or drive yourself to Kettering.
8.45 am	Arrive at the Bruny Island Charters Kettering Meeting Point.
9.00 am	Our bus departs for Bruny Island.
10.15 am	Arrive at Adventure Bay - enjoy a morning tea break at our Beachside Cafe.
11.00 am	'Albatross' or 'Shearwater' leave Adventure Bay for the 3 hour, 50km Eco-cruise (more here)
2.00 pm	Return to Adventure Bay for lunch - time for a beach walk.
3.30 pm	Bus departs Adventure Bay.
4.45 pm	Arrive at our Kettering Meeting Point.
5.30 pm	Arrive back at Hobart & Tasmania's South Visitor Information Centre.

 

Essential Info

When?
Cruises operate daily departing 8am and returning 5.30pm.
Tours run 1st October to 31st May.
Alternatively, Tasman Island Cruises operates a Full Day Tour from Hobart to Port Arthur all year round.

Where?
Cruises depart daily from Hobart & Tasmania's South Visitor Information Centre at 8am.
This office is located on the corner of Elizabeth and Davey street.
